Your role and responsibilities :
As Country Managing Director Spain, you will lead and coordinate the local sales organization, which also covers Portugal, ensuring achievement of strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with the Regional Managing Director Southern Europe to define budgets, targets, and strategies aligned with company goals.
You will ensure customer needs are met with high satisfaction, implement customer-centric strategies, and build strong relationships. You will assume full P&L responsibility, develop the organization and personnel, and execute strategic plans to grow business in Spanish and Portuguese markets. Achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and ensuring profitability are key aspects of your role.
You will oversee daily operations, promote a performance culture, and ensure the organization is well-organized and skilled. Maintaining high customer satisfaction, developing key partnerships, and collaborating with internal stakeholders are essential. You will also be responsible for governance, risk, compliance, and adherence to ABB's integrity and ethics standards.
Qualifications for the role :
Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial automation, with senior leadership roles such as Country Manager or Business Unit Manager. Proven leadership in developing teams and organizations, with strong analytical and decision-making skills. Extensive expertise in industrial automation, including technical sales and solutions. Knowledge of industry and market dynamics within Spain. Excellent interpersonal skills, strategic thinking, customer orientation, and talent development abilities. A degree in engineering (electronics or mechatronics preferred) or equivalent. Native Spanish speaker, fluent in English; Catalan and Portuguese skills are advantageous.
