An independent European energy infrastructure platform is expanding its energy storage activities in Spain. The company develops, finances, and operates large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) to support grid stability and renewable integration across key European markets.
The Role
Based in Madrid, you will lead utility-scale BESS projects from late‑stage development through Final Investment Decision (FID) and into construction. You will play a central role in consolidating the Spanish pipeline, preparing investment cases, coordinating advisors, and supporting financing processes. You will also contribute to market analysis and help shape the company’s strategic positioning in Spain.
Key Responsibilities
Lead BESS projects from development to construction (post‑FID)
Build and manage financial models (revenues, Cap Ex, Op Ex, funding scenarios)
Prepare investment memoranda and support board approvals
Coordinate technical, legal, and commercial advisors
Support debt and equity financing processes
Conduct market, risk, and revenue analysis related to the Spanish power market
Profile
4+ years’ experience in utility‑scale energy project development
Fluent Spanish and English
Based in Madrid and authorized to work in Spain
