We are seeking a Product Team Manager with a strong background in engineering and a proven track record in agile project management to lead our dynamic team in the development of servo drive systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development cycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring that all products meet our rigorous quality standards and customer expectations.
As the Product Team Manager, you will coordinate a team of talented engineers, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous improvement. Your main responsibilities will include planning and executing sprints, managing backlogs, and facilitating all scrum ceremonies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align product development with company strategy and customer needs.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Building, leading, and mentoring a multi-disciplinary engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Technical Guidance
- Providing technical direction and support to the engineering team, ensuring best practices are followed.
Agile Implementation
- Championing agile methodologies within the team, ensuring agile practices are understood and effectively applied.
Backlog Management
- Prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring clarity of user stories and acceptance criteria.
Sprint Planning & Reviews
- Organizing and facilitating sprint planning sessions to define sprint goals and allocate tasks effectively.
Daily Scrums
- Conducting daily stand-up meetings to monitor progress and address any impediments swiftly.
Stakeholder Communication
- Maintaining open lines of communication with all stakeholders.
Resource Allocation
- Managing resources efficiently to meet project timelines and budget constraints.
Performance Monitoring
- Tracking team performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjusting strategies as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field, with a preference for those holding a master's degree or higher.
Minimum 1-year experience in a managerial role and a minimum of three years in hardware/firmware engineering development.
In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, especially in the Electronic and/or Firmware development cycle. Servo drive technology knowledge would be a plus.
A solid understanding of product lifecycle management and resource allocation is important.
Proficiency in agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, as well as the ability to use software tools effectively (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Occasionally travel as needed (domestically and internationally) to customers for support and/or installation.
