Key Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements, in alignment with the client's specifications and business goals.
Define project deliverables and ensure they meet performance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Set milestones and establish a clear project schedule using tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent software.
Establish and maintain risk management plans to mitigate potential delays, budget overruns, and other project risks.
Lead and coordinate the efforts of cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, quality control, and safety personnel, to achieve project goals.
Ensure proper allocation of resources and manage the supply chain, equipment, and subcontractors effectively to meet project requirements.
Oversee the execution of daily operations, ensuring all tasks are aligned with project timelines and specifications.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments.
Prepare and manage the project budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets and minimizing cost overruns.
Monitor project expenses, track cost variations, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Review and approve procurement and subcontractor invoices in line with contract terms.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to heavy industry projects.
Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide regular project status reports and updates on milestones, timelines, budget, and performance.
Facilitate regular project meetings to assess progress, resolve issues, and make adjustments to the project plan when necessary.
Ensure that project documentation is complete, accurate, and archived in accordance with company procedures.
Proactively identify risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies.
Oversee the change management process, ensuring that any scope changes are properly documented and approved.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Industrial, or a related field), or equivalent industry experience.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience managing heavy industry projects, including experience in construction, maintenance, engineering, and procurement in sectors such as oil
gas or cement.
Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Strong knowledge of project management software (MS Project, Share Point,etc.).
Ability to analyze complex situations, identify problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Strong understanding of health, safety, environmental regulations in heavy industry projects.
In-depth understanding of contract management, procurement, and vendor relations.
Ability to navigate and manage multinational and multicultural teams if applicable.
Proficiency in English and Spanish
