About the Role
As an ML Engineer you will join a multinational team of experienced developers who work across a wide range of technologies and disciplines. You will contribute to building and improving our VIZ E xtraction and R ecognition (Vizer) service—a server‑side solution for data extraction from the visual inspection zone of identity documents. Collaboration and teamwork are at the heart of what we do, and you will play a key part in shaping a reliable and innovative product used by customers worldwide.
Your job
Ensure that machine learning models are scalable and integrated seamlessly with existing company products and platforms.
Deploy machine learning models into production and monitor their performance, continuously improving inferencing models.
Develop and maintain automated pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning applications.
Develop and maintain APIs exposing ML models with Fast API.
Stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning and apply cutting‑edge research to practical business problems.
Work in our growing Machine Learning & Data Science team with other ML & Data Science engineers and backend developers.
Collaborate with cloud teams (AWS/GCP, Kubernetes) and the server team (Java Enterprise) to integrate services.
Work at least 2-3 days from our office in Enschede (Netherlands) or Valencia (Spain).
Who are you?
You have a university (MSc) or applied university/college (HBO/BSc) degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Sciences, Machine Learning or similar.
Minimum 3 years of experience deploying scalable machine learning solutions in production.
Strong programming skills in Python and experience with containerisation (e.g., Docker).
Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as Tensor Flow, ONNX or Py Torch.
Experience with MLOps stack (e.g. MLFlow, Prefect, Evidently).
Experience with CI/CD tools, code collaboration tools (like Gitlab) and best practices (merge requests and code reviews).
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS/GCP and cloud‑agnostic principles.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining ML systems.
Strong analytical skills and experience in data manipulation, analysis and preprocessing.
Knowledge of computer vision technology is appreciated but not required.
You can speak and write English fluently.
