Rare Disease / Orphan Disease - Experience working on Rare Disease indications (2+ Years) Including Clinical development, pre-launch planning and commercialisation
Experience working in innovative Biotech / Biopharma in Spain (Regionally)
Scientific Degree level – Required (Pharm D, Ph D, MD)
Associated experience within - Neuroendocrine diseases / Endocrinology / Gastroenterology / Ophthalmology or Obesity. Highly Advantageous
Languages : Spanish and proficient English (Written & Spoken)
Spanish National with circa 4+ Years relative Medical Affairs experience in industry in Spain
The Company
Our client is an innovative commercial and advanced development stage Biopharma, with a truly dedicated and focused European team, with a combined passion to improve outcomes and treatments for rare Neuroendocrine diseases.
As part of a continued European team expansion for Spain, in conjunction with recent market authorisation to treat adult and paediatric conditions within their rare disease portfolio, they now seek an experienced Medical Liaison (Scientific Affairs Manager) to join the regional Medical Affairs group in Spain.
Ideally located in the Madrid region – Covering Madrid and Northern Spain.
The regional MSL (Scientific Affairs manager) for Northern Spain, will join as a member of the developing International Medical Affairs team, with focus on the implementation and development of local Medical Affairs plans for Spain - In conjunction with the wider European evolvement and expanded Market Authorisation.
Other experience requirements include :
Maintaining scientific relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians and healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the Northern Spain region.
Serve as a scientific peer-to-peer partner with relative disease area experts and the wider medical community. Providing updated medical and product information. Building scientific understanding of the benefits of the associated rare genetic diseases.
Closely collaborate with Clinical Development, Operations and Commercial teams on interactions with investigators participating in the associated clinical trials, investigator meetings and advisory boards.
Provide scientific and clinical support and facilitating meetings and discussions regarding relative treatment options.
Provide medical and scientific review of scientific communication platforms, medical information resources, medical education materials & marketing materials to ensure local compliance.
Provide input and feedback on training initiatives directed at medical colleagues to expand product and scientific knowledge within the therapy area and support the design of informative medical decks for external use.
Attend local / national or international conferences as required.
Further develop associated networks within the rare disease and associated development portfolio.
Excellent communication and presentation skills + abilities to communicate complex scientific information for various audiences.
Self-motivated, independent, with a passion to succeed and a true team spirit player and contributor, with the tenacity and ability to work effectively and autonomously in a small national team and fast-paced environment.
