This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of toxicology to guide drug discovery and development. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of non-clinical safety strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance and managing preclinical projects.
Key Responsibilities :
Toxicology Strategy : Develop safety strategies from research to marketing, providing expert guidance.
Study Oversight : Oversee GLP and non-GLP toxicology studies by external labs and CROs, ensuring high quality, budget adherence, and timelines.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Work with teams and external partners to integrate toxicology data into project goals.
Risk Assessment : Evaluate potential side effects, conduct risk-benefit analyses, and balance risks with therapeutic benefits.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
A graduate degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Chemistry, or Life Sciences is required. A Ph D in Toxicology or a related discipline is highly desirable. In-depth knowledge of toxicology or a related field is essential. Comprehensive understanding of relevant regulatory guidelines and standards is crucial.
Science-driven and independent thinking, proactive and solution-oriented approach, excellent communication and analytical skills, strong planning and organizational skills, networking capability, multi-disciplinary experience, and high proficiency in English are also essential.
