The HR Business Partner will work closely with senior management, partnering on strategic priorities such as organizational design, effectiveness, and change management. They will advise and support on employee relations, recruitment, performance management, engagement, succession, and talent development.
This role is matrixed, serving factory leadership, functional managers, and colleagues in Supply Chain and Engineering. It is part of the Global HR Team supporting Operations, with collaboration expected with the Spain HR Team and the broader EMEA HR Team.
This position is based at the Otis factory in Leganés (Madrid).
Goals and Objectives :
Partner with leadership to develop organizational design that meets business needs, building capability and capacity.
Manage resources effectively, driving productivity through analysis of employment data and trends.
Develop succession plans and proactively ensure a diverse talent pool with ongoing development activities.
Participate in employee relations issues, providing HR advice and engaging the Labour Relations Team as needed.
Utilize available tools and resources to lead motivated and engaged teams.
Align with the Spanish HR team and serve as part of the client group’s leadership, reporting to EMEA Operations HR.
Support onboarding, probation reviews, and salary review processes linked to performance.
Maintain knowledge of employment legislation, implementing policies to ensure legal compliance.
Ensure adherence to Otis Policies and Procedures, and champion environmental, health, safety, and ethical standards.
Drive cultural transformation in Spain Factories and local Supply Chain and Engineering to enhance competitiveness.
Implement People strategies across Spain aligned with business and global strategies, including career development and training initiatives.
Support line managers in HR initiatives, demonstrating enthusiasm and energy in a fast-moving environment.
Qualifications / Experience / Knowledge :
Degree, preferably MBA or Legal.
At least 10 years of HR experience at managerial or business partner level, preferably in manufacturing.
Strong labor law skills, with operational manufacturing experience preferred.
Fluent in Spanish and English.
Expertise in Organizational Design and Change Management.
Solid business and financial understanding.
Experience working in a matrix organization.
Proficiency with Power Point, Excel, and HR Systems like Workday.
