In line with the AXA Group’s Driving Progress 2023 strategy and ambition to develop an innovative, transversal solution to help us better serve our customers, AXA’s Management Committee recently announced a new strategic initiative - Digital Commercial Platform (DCP) – designed to transform AXA’s value proposition. Through DCP, AXA will serve existing and new clients and partners through an evolving business model, where our focus on insurance protection will transition to a combination of protection, prevention, and services – moving from loss prevention to loss prediction.The DCP Program is co-sponsored and steered by Scott Gunter, CEO AXA XL and Group Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer Georges Desvaux, and comprises two complementary initiatives: ·AXA Smart Services ·AXA ClimateAXA Smart Services relies on creating an ecosystem of AXA’s risk insights, risk management, and risk prevention capabilities to enhance and support our service offering to commercial clients. Clients will be able to access a broad selection of data built on existing or developing AXA assets. The platform will also create value by monetizing unique capabilities and services for our customers, aggregating, and delivering insights from unique data sets with external partners, and fostering end-customer relationships in alignment with brokers.AXA Smart Services aims to:·improve our underwriting pricing and claims capabilities across the commercial lines book of business of AXA Group·create a platform for risk management and prevention services ·build an ecosystem of business partnersMore specifically for in the connected motor insurance area,we build, develop & operate connected car insurance policies across the world on behalf of AXA entities. This includes per mile insurance, behavioural-based insurance, on-demand insurance… Those offers support both new economy partners (car sharing, ride sharing…) as well our strategy to move from payer to partner and deliver our customers the services they need.Our team is responsible for all data analytics engineering & operations of connected car policies. Our technology streams vehicle data from many sources and turn them into an insurance service (eg: a quote, a price, a risk advice, an alert…) relying on advanced analytics.1.CORE RESPONSIBILITIESThe Product Owner will manage all motor connected insurance projects and be responsible for the development of new offers with major car manufacturers, in coordination with AXA entities (in particular Direct Assurance, AXA France, AXA Belgium, AXA Italy). In addition, he/she will lead our technical team in charge of developing the motor services & models. The technical team is composed of ~10 software engineers & data scientists.More specifically the Product Owner oversees the end-to-end product strategy to ensure that his/her product meets client needs while delivering business value.He/she is integral to the invention and innovation process. He/she analyzes and drafts stories for exciting solutions that change the way AXA internal users and clients identify and manage risk. He/she interacts with senior stakeholders to ensure the product will produce impactful outcomes and works in a collaborative team environment where new ideas drive transformation. The Product Owner works in small, cross-functional teams with big goals, so he needs to be adaptive and adept at clear communication with both technical and non-technical peers. He/she strives to produce scalable solutions and needs to be detail-oriented and understand technical concepts.In this fast paced and expanding organization, he/she fosters an environment of continuous innovation and working in Agile teams.The Product Owner evaluates and tracks costs and perform regular cost-benefit analyses.He/she is responsible for gathering feature requests, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints by identifying user needs and working closely with cross-functional teams to manage the product releases.He/she leverages his/her technical background to bridge the gap between the product and technical side of product development. He/she brings the product to life by enacting the vision and direction defined in the product roadmap.Within this team, you will manage our motor projects and be responsible for the development of new offers with major car manufacturers across France, Belgium and Italy, in coordination with AXA OpCos.In addition, we will be the counterpart of our Technical team in charge of developing the motor services & models. The technical team is composed of ~10 software engineers & data scientists.POSITION MAIN ACTIVITIES Strategy & leadership·Collaborate with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements·Conduct market and client research to identify trends and opportunities·Define the vision for the product and validate this vision with AXA senior stakeholders·Create a product roadmap and go-to-market strategy based on this vision·Translate product and feature ideas/concepts and integrate into the product backlog initiatives, epics and user stories for the development team·Manage the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements·Lead the Agile team (multi competencies team) to deliver 100% on-time sprint and release deadlines·Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process (design, development, testing)·Liaise with end-users (internal AXA users and external customers) to deliver updates and test market fit·Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints·Coordinate and initiate sprint planning, review, and analysis to provide feedback to the team·Address production issues during sprints·Support the Scrum team on important technical decisionsPeople, culture & One AXA·Define and lead the most appropriate product team to ensure successful delivery:oSize the team, including the definition of target external/internal ratiooDefine the profiles and skillsetsoRecruit individuals, activating different kinds of sourcing with HR (internal mobility, external recruitment, freelance, outsourcing, …)·Ensure Smart Services develop an innovative culture and vision pushing the boundaries to traditional ways of doing things and fostering constructive collaboration between the different stakeholders within AXA Smart Services and across AXA (One AXA)·Create an environment that promotes inclusion and diversity·Develop a high performing teamFinancials and performance·Evaluate, on a regular basis, quantitative and qualitative indicators to assess market readiness and customer appetite for a product or a set of features, as well as adoption and success once released (, revenue and profits, retention and turnover rates, user activity and engagement). Define related remediation/improvement plan ·Evaluate the Build and Run costs, and define the budget (IT and non-IT costs)·Evaluate market trends and competition's marketing strategies to develop effective recommendations for product and pricing·Evaluate P&L impact for the DCP·Work with distribution to support the definition of revenue forecasts·Contribute to the definition and review of product sales strategiesOperations & delivery·Manage the product teams and the daily progression of all product-related activities·Lead / attend the different regular meetings/ceremonies which drum beat product development, following the agile methodology·Ensure the implementation of all legal, regulatory, compliance, security and data privacy internal or external standards and guidelines, with the support of AXA Group, AXA XL and AXA GI entities·Define and implement the most appropriate operating model to manage BAU activities with the right SLAs·Contribute to the writing of the different reference documents to validate architecture (XL SDA, XL ARB, GARB Preliminary Assessment, GARB Implementation Review, …)Communication·Communicate and work with the businesses from AXA entities to ensure products are properly promoted to AXA entities, and with marketing departments to advertise products to customers·Contribute to product exhibitions (marketing events, information, launches, conferences, demonstrations and presentation to press)Your Profile·In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills·Strong communication and presentation skills, written and verbal·Ability to multi-task and work under pressure·Entrepreneurship skills·Product management experience with a capacity to build a bold vision which motivates the teams to achieve ambitious goals·Good business acumen and capacity to align product roadmap with business priorities·Management of stakeholders and their expectation·Ability to work with cross-functional teams, in a multi-cultural environment to deliver on a common goal·Interpersonal skills and developing relationships with team members and customers·Strong understanding of technologies used in the product·Confidence and maturity to manage by influence, interact with and persuade executive level stakeholders·Innovative and curious.
