The offered position will be part of the Technology Exploration unit in Global CTIO unit, currently identifying and refining the technologies for the exposure and access to network capabilities, addressing the Network-as-a-Service (Naa S) paradigm.

Naa S is allowing Telefónica to improve the mechanisms our B2 B and B2 B2 C customers use for requesting and consuming connectivity services.

To this goal, the team is participating in joint research and standardization activities at the national, European, and international levels, collaborating with other major industrial and academic players.

MAIN ACTIVITIES AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION Specify Naa S architecture elements, for the exposure and access to network capabilities, applicable to Telefónica services worldwide.

These elements include, among others: the API gateway (making APIs discoverable/consumable to customers, accounting, etc.), the policy manager (access control, multi-tenant aspects including security and privacy, etc.) and the service fabric (integration and communication with the network infrastructure resources implementing the exposed capabilities).

Develop and validate prototypes for network capability exposure elements, preferably using open-source solutions.

Assure the interoperability of network capability exposure elements with other ones, provided by industry partners and researchers collaborating with Telefonica.

Study the applicability of new programming patterns (such as the serverless computing paradigm, or the in-network computing proposal) in Naa S, considering the business and operational needs of our customers: cloud providers, including hyperscalers, application developers, and enterprise customers.

Collaborate in the implementation of demonstrators and pilots of these technologies for different Telefónica business units.

Participate, contribute, and represent Telefónica to the standardization and open-source groups related to the above activities.

Knowledge of services and solutions available in top-tier public cloud providers (e.g,.
