Financial Operations Specialist Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our global business service center, you will be responsible for performing accounting and administrative functions related to the preparation, processing, and maintenance of financial records.
Key Responsibilities :
Monthly, quarterly and year-end closing
Balancing and reconciliation of the general ledger
Preparation of accruals, prepayments, payroll and journal entries
Resolution of accounting discrepancies
Registration and maintenance of fixed assets
Manage and reconcile intercompany activity
Tax management for subsidiaries (VAT, CIT, transfer pricing)
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and procedures
Prepare and present financial reports, meeting all deadlines
Implementation of new finance tools and systems
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have :
A high level of English proficiency, with other European languages beneficial
Knowledge of bookkeeping processes
Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting
Experience working in a Shared Service Center (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment
Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office, particularly Excel
Ability to travel as required
