As a critical member of the engineering team, you'll support the infrastructure for the engineering, data science, and bioinformatics teams. You'll collaborate with multiple teams in a testing environment to help shape the product. You'll work in an environment designed to keep you in the zone, without endless meetings or status reports. You are a world-class engineer with a no-nonsense, no-drama approach to solving complex problems. You will help guide technology decisions for development infrastructure, striking a balance between cutting-edge and proven solutions, while keeping an eye on maintainability, scalability, cost, and innovation.
Location: Spain (remote)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the AWS infrastructure
- Collaborate with multiple teams (create repositories, Jenkins scripts…etc.)
- Question what is established to have a better infrastructure, processes or cost reduction
- Keep up with the industry to continually improve the technology stack
- Monitor servers
- On/Off boarding
- Keep up to date with hardware and software inventory
- Implement security initiatives
- Monitor overall security (information, servers, users, among others)
Job Competencies & Personal Attributes:
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS) and application containerization
- Skilled in designing, deploying, and orchestrating container-based solutions
- Proficient in Python and Graph QL; experienced with Postgre SQL databases
- Automated cloud deployments using tools like Ansible and Jenkins (CI/CD)
- Designed scalable, maintainable systems with a focus on reliability and performance
- Applied Dev Ops best practices, including test-driven development and continuous integration
- Solid understanding of secure Dev Ops practices and always-on infrastructure
- Fast learner with a proactive, adaptable attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
