Role Overview
The Dev Ops Engineer will develop and maintain the digital ecosystem that supports operational excellence. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and IT teams to automate workflows, integrate platforms, and enhance real time visibility into performance and reliability.
This role suits someone who enjoys hands on engineering, building integrations, and enabling field teams through smart, efficient tooling.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Tool Development
Build automation scripts, data pipelines, and internal tools
Develop dashboards and reporting solutions (Grafana, Power BI, SQL)
Support integrations between CMMS, BMS, ITSM, and monitoring platforms
Conduct data quality checks, trend analysis, and reliability investigations
Platform Integration & Engineering
Build and maintain APIs, connectors, and automation logic
Support operational KPIs, SLAs, and incident trend reporting
Ensure alignment with the global tooling and transformation roadmap
Documentation & Governance
Produce clear technical documentation, SOPs, and configuration standards
Document system behaviour, design decisions, and performance metrics
Track adoption and effectiveness of deployed tools
Compliance & IMS Support
Support Health & Safety, Environmental, Information Security, and Energy Management reporting
Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 principles
Contribute to continuous improvement of operational systems
Requirements
5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, systems engineering, or data engineering
Experience in high availability or mission critical environments (industrial, utilities, automation, manufacturing, etc.)
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
Strong scripting and querying skills (Python, SQL, Influx QL/Flux)
Experience with CMMS/ITSM platforms (Service Now, Jira, MCIM)
Proficiency in data visualisation (Grafana, Power BI, Tableau)
Strong understanding of APIs, JSON/XML, Linux/Windows diagnostics
Preferred
Experience with SCADA/BMS protocols (Modbus, BACnet, OPC)
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (Prometheus, Zabbix)
