The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic senior master planner with a passion for making a more sustainable world by leading master plans for the next generation of lower carbon industrial projects worldwide. You will provide creative direction, project management, technical leadership, and mentoring to ensure our customers and people receive cutting-edge development strategy and spatial planning across facilities located within the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
You will ideally have at least 10 years’ experience in development infrastructure and master planning having led and managed the technical or architectural delivery of complex development projects across EMEA. Industrial master planning experience is highly beneficial and advantageous.

Senior Master Planner , you will be part of our

Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics (TIL)

business line in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Region.
You'll be:
Collaborate in a global master planning network with the combined goal to support and grow the industrial master planning service offer across all regions
Report to the Master Planning Practice Lead for EMEA, based in London, UK
Manage the preparation and delivery of strategic industrial master plans, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, due diligence, and client-side technical advisor roles for various low carbon industries
Lead the concept master planning of greener and next-generation industry projects providing coordination and integration of various technical teams across the Worley business
Be a master planning subject matter expert to guide strategic site selection studies and multi-criteria assessments
Apply design thinking principles to the master planning process to define, assess and develop appropriate solutions that are human-centric and balancing the needs of people and planet
Integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) into the spatial master planning process, finding innovative solutions to make facilities greener, more user-centric, and efficient
Provide strategic direction and guidance to junior architects and master planners
Assist with business development and bid preparation to grow a world-class industrial master planning capability
Collaborate with other Worley Consulting business lines of TIL, Environment & Water (E&W), and Energy, Chemicals & Resources (ECR), to cross-sell and enhance the client service offer
Be passionate and willing to integrate AI and generative design capabilities in the master planning process
Be willing to travel on business and have a desire to experience different cultures and ways of working
You'll have:
10+ years experience in project leadership within a relevant consulting, planning, or architectural practice
Be passionate about growing the business, supporting sales teams, capturing new project opportunities, and leading their delivery
A successful track record of leading industrial master planning projects across the EMEA region
Experience in “Design Thinking” and user-centric design principles
Excellent communication skills (graphically and verbally)
Be collaborative and comfortable in group workshop environments
Always seeking innovation and continual improvement
Understand the importance of clear narrative and story-driven approach
Ability to travel
Assist in the use of technology in improving delivery and performance.
Good working knowledge of 3 D design software (i.e., Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Rhino, and Auto CAD)
Knowledge of AI generative design tools and capabilities is beneficial
Knowledge of scripting tools (such as Grasshopper) is beneficial
Fluent English communication skills (spoken & written)
