Job Description:
A vacancy for a Flight Test Ground Station Telemetry Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Flight Test Ground Station Department.
Tasks & Accountabilities:
The Flight Test Ground Station is responsible for the Ground HW and Ground and Onboard SW means required to perform flight test activities. Additionally, it is responsible for the IT Systems and general software in the Test Center Organization.
Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:
Knowledge and experience of radiofrequency equipment (RF Comms & VHF radio).
Decide Make or Build solutions.
Develop ad-hoc solutions involving Firmware, HW, and software solutions.
Collect and analyze requirements and information needed to specify, design, build and deliver telemetry Test Means and solutions according to internal processes, respecting Quality, Time, Cost, and Performance.
Provide the Test Means specifications, industrial supplier selection (if necessary), and project management of subcontracted activities.
Manage the activities of configuration control of “telemetry on ground” equipment on test means, and export control compliance related to FTGS (Flight Telemetry Ground Station) test means.
Required Skills:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
Radiofrequency Engineering knowledge.
Software development skills.
Firmware development skills.
Microcontrollers and FPGA development skills.
Project Micro-management.
Systems Engineering.
Basic concepts of Export Control.
The candidate will work in a multinational and multicultural team requiring negotiation capabilities and very good communication skills.
