Reporting to the Technical Director, the role will focus on the development of the company’s new fleet of RORO and PCTC vessels.
Key responsibilities include:
Control and successful completion of assigned projects on time and within scope.
The day-to-day tasks for the candidate will involve:
Tracking newbuild projects by managing requests/requirements from:
Subcontracted Technical Engineering
Classification Societies
Technical Department of the Company
In addition, if necessary, the engineer will provide support to the existing RORO fleet in terms of modifications, transformations, or any other technical needs arising from the fleet.
Monitoring ongoing projects in the existing fleet, including:
Identifying the most feasible technical options for each project
Monitoring requirements from various administrations (Flag, Class, etc.)
Reporting to the Technical Department of the Company
REQUIREMENTS:
Naval Engineer or Master's Degree in Naval and Oceanic Engineering
Experience in international newbuild projects, especially in Asia
Direct involvement with Classification Society approval offices (IACS), as well as Flag Authorities
Experience in LNG propulsion projects
Ability to review and interpret detailed vessel’s plans/drawings
Knowledge of applicable newbuild regulations
At least 3 years of experience in newbuild projects
At least 3 years of experience in LNG projects
High level of English language skills
DESIRABLE:
Advanced knowledge of design programs (Maxsurf, Ansys, Mars, Poseidon, Foran, Autocad, Rhinoceros...)
Previous experience in an engineering office and/or shipyard newbuild office
Strong understanding of:
Strong communication and negotiation skills
